Blessed in Christ

The Saint’s Life is “Blessed in Christ”

Every now and then we need to get back to the basics and reflect on our relationship to Jesus Christ and what a tremendous blessing it is for God’s saints to know God. My own ambition is to discover Christ throughout all of God’s Word and not just in the Gospels. I want to be fully conformed to His image. I want to know Him more intimately. In this study I want to reflect on how blessed you and I are “in Christ.”

Pardoned through Christ

Acts 10:43
To him all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.

Crucified with Christ

Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Risen with Christ

Ephesians 2:6
and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

Romans 6:4
We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.

Colossians 3:1
If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

Accepted in Christ

Ephesians 1:6-7
to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. 7  In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,

Blessed in Christ

Ephesians 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places,

Complete in Christ

Colossians 2:9-10
For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, 10 and you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority.

One With Christ

1 Corinthians 6:17
But he who is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with him.

Preserved in Christ

Jude 1:24-25
Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, 25  to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.

Devoted to Christ

Philippians 1:21
For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

Working for Christ

Philippians 2:16
holding fast to the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I may be proud that I did not run in vain or labor in vain.

Worshiping Christ

Revelations 5:11-14
Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, 12  saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!” 13  And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!” 14  And the four living creatures said, “Amen!” and the elders fell down and worshiped.

Separated to Christ

John 17:16
They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

Fellowship in Christ

1 John 1:3
that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.

Loved by Christ

Ephesians 5:25
Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her

Witness for Christ

John 17:18
As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world.

Waiting for Christ

1 Thessalonians 1:9-10
For they themselves report concerning us the kind of reception we had among you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, 10  and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.

Glorified With Christ

John 17:22-24
The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, 23  I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me. 24  Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world.

Eternally with Christ

1 Thessalonians 4:17
Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.

1 Corinthians 15:21-24
For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. 22  For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. 23  But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ. 24  Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power.
