“It’s like you’re opening a box of treasures, and then you keep giving them out, over and over.” Those words provided both encouragement and confirmation of the ministry to which I’ve been called. They were spoken by one of the church leaders in Northern Ecuador, where we were providing training. What a privilege it is to be a part of equipping these men with Biblical “treasures” they can pass along to those in their churches.
Well, 2015 has been an amazing year. Following teaching trips to Cameroon in January and Mongolia in February, I officially joined the staff of Reaching & Teaching International Ministries. Since then, I’ve been to Ecuador (three times), Northern Brazil, and Panama.
Support raising and developing church partnerships has taken me to New York, New Jersey, Virginia, Ohio, Michigan, Tennessee, Texas, and Georgia.
We are excited for the opportunities 2016 will bring. The plan is to make at least six (maybe as many as ten) international teaching trips next year. Trips to Ecuador (January) and Brazil (February) are already lined up. Plus, promoting the Reaching & Teaching ministry and developing church teaching partnerships will probably call for a good bit of stateside travel.
Our support raising has been going well; however, it’s not completely where it needs to be. We are still in need of both monthly supports (for ongoing expenses) and single gifts (to help with trip costs). As you consider your stewardship commitments, I would be thankful if you would prayerfully consider partnering with us. If you are unable to join our financial support team, we still greatly desire your ongoing prayer.
May grace and peace be with you as you celebrate our Savior’s birth!
