Dean Bertch – Dec 2015 Update

Dear Friends,

“It’s like you’re opening a box of treasures, and then you keep giving them out, over and over.”  Those words provided both encouragement and confirmation of the ministry to which I’ve been called.  They were spoken by one of the church leaders in Northern Ecuador, where we were providing training.  What a privilege it is to be a part of equipping these men with Biblical “treasures” they can pass along to those in their churches.

Well, 2015 has been an amazing year.  Following teaching trips to Cameroon in January and Mongolia in February, I officially joined the staff of Reaching & Teaching International Ministries.  Since then, I’ve been to Ecuador (three times), Northern Brazil, and Panama.

Support raising and developing church partnerships has taken me to New York, New Jersey, Virginia, Ohio, Michigan, Tennessee, Texas, and Georgia.

We are excited for the opportunities 2016 will bring.  The plan is to make at least six (maybe as many as ten) international teaching trips next year.  Trips to Ecuador (January) and Brazil (February) are already lined up.  Plus, promoting the Reaching & Teaching ministry and developing church teaching partnerships will probably call for a good bit of stateside travel.

Our support raising has been going well; however, it’s not completely where it needs to be.  We are still in need of both monthly supports (for ongoing expenses) and single gifts (to help with trip costs).  As you consider your stewardship commitments, I would be thankful if you would prayerfully consider partnering with us.  If you are unable to join our financial support team, we still greatly desire your ongoing prayer.

May grace and peace be with you as you celebrate our Savior’s birth!

Would you prayerfully consider partnering financially in the work of pastoral training with Reaching & Teaching? All Reaching & Teaching missionaries and staff raise support to meet financial needs. Regular financial support provides the fuel that enables the ministry to occur. Together, we can give, pray, and work to help pastors across the globe more faithfully and skillfully proclaim the gospel and shepherd the church. I’m thrilled to help advance the gospel in this way! I hope you’ll join me.My Commitments to YouIn our partnership, I will make the following commitments to you:

  • A Commitment to Good Communication – Your role as a partner in this ministry demands that I keep you regularly informed about what the Lord is doing so that you can better pray for and rejoice with us.
  • A Commitment to Good Stewardship – Your financial commitment is significant, both for you and for those to whom we are ministering. I promise to steward your resources well and to give myself wholeheartedly to the work of the gospel through Reaching & Teaching.
  • A Commitment to YOU – You can count on my commitment to you as a valued partner in the work of the gospel. I am eager to hear from you – your personal prayer requests – so that we can move forward together in the service of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
