“The fact that you are here is proof that God answers prayer.” These were the words with which we were greeted before the first of nine training sessions in Otavalo, Ecuador. This Saturday (January 16), seven of us will be heading to Otavalo for the third teaching module. The three of us who will be teaching are each taking our wives (I am also taking our daughter as well). Please pray for our team:
Please pray for us as we fly on Saturday. Our flight schedule is:
BWI to Miami – 12:00 p.m. to 2:48 p.m.
On Sunday, January 17 — We will drive from Quito to Otavalo. We will attend church, spend time with the believers there, and settle in at our Hostal.
This next module will be Christian Doctrine, and the Spiritual Discipline is Worship. Pastor Don and Pastor Ed will be teaching almost all of the Christian Doctrine (I will do the final session on Heaven), and I will be teaching on Worship.
During the week, the ladies will be connecting with and teaching the ladies from Otavalo. During the daytime, they will be visiting the homes of a number of the ladies. On Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings, they will be holding teaching sessions on the Gospel and it’s implications, overcoming your past, and praying for your spouse. They will also have the privilege of doing an overnight retreat (Saturday night into Sunday) with the ladies where they will be teaching on Christian parenting, and forgiveness.
We are excited for the opportunity to continue the Reaching & Teaching curriculum with the pastors and other leaders. We are also very excited for the opportunity to serve the ladies.
Please pray for:
We appreciate your partnering with us through the ministry of prayer.

After returning home on Monday night (January 25), I will be preparing for two upcoming trips – I will be leading a team to Haiti, February 7-13, and then going to Northern Brazil February 18-28. I will try to get a newsletter out to you sometime in the midst of these trips.
Together in His service,
Would you prayerfully consider partnering financially in the work of pastoral training with Reaching & Teaching? All Reaching & Teaching missionaries and staff raise support to meet financial needs. Regular financial support provides the fuel that enables the ministry to occur. Together, we can give, pray, and work to help pastors across the globe more faithfully and skillfully proclaim the gospel and shepherd the church. I’m thrilled to help advance the gospel in this way! I hope you’ll join me.My Commitments to YouIn our partnership, I will make the following commitments to you:
